Well. Monday is the day… I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen, but at it is. I, as a lot of you know, have been fighting bone marrow cancer ( multiple myeloma) since my diagnosis on Dec. 27 2024. I have been busy through the year, until, this last week. Monday Oct. 20 I was in the hospital in Indianapolis until the 23rd for stem cell extraction. I will be returning to the hospital down there for the doctors to kill my marrow and then give me back what they took this is a 2-3 week process which I will remain in the hospital to complete. After that I will have a 3-6 month recovery. I have put on pause my lawnmower repair business until I am recovered. I will then return to being open for business. During my down time after the hospital stay I can schedule your mower for service. Thank you for your understanding and your previous business. Rod Seward.

Dear customers,
I want to let you know what has been happening at the shop this year. I was diagnosed with cancer in December, and this was quite a shock for me and my wife. I started treatments in January with several months more, but we have hope that we’ve caught it in time. Unfortunately, this has affected my ability to work in the shop as I tire quickly, but I expect to get everyone’s lawnmowers taken care of as much as possible for spring. It’s that time of the year again! Time to enjoy the holidays with family and friends, and time for winter maintenance on your mowers! I can also tune up your snowblowers and chainsaws, repair log splitters, and sharpen chainsaw chains. Well, it’s been a while, since, I last posted. The grass is still growing! Seldom, does the grass grow like it has In August. Mowing sometimes twice a week. In the shop, I have been busy with a few servicing mowers and some more complicated repairs. It has been a long mowing season this year, and it isn’t over yet. That means your mower needs attention more than ever. Using your mower more means servicing it is really important. We can service it as this season winds down and be ready for the next season.

As the mowing season continues, we always try to take care of our equipment to avoid a breakdown. Maintenance is the easiest and best way to avoid a major problem. When I service mowers, I always check the belts and blades to see if they need to be replaced or the blades just need to be sharpened. I check the air filter and clean it, but, if it needs replaced, I replace it. I am always trying to catch up on jobs that were not pressing at the time, but, I can still service your mower. We have a little more time between mowings with this stretch of hot, dry weather, so, if you need maintenance or have a break, I am available to help you out. I can pick up and deliver for a fee. As winter wanes and spring approaches, it’s time to start thinking about mowing your yard. I am now taking appointments for service and/or repair on your lawnmower. I want to take this opportunity here at Christmas time to welcome you to my business page. I am a startup from the aspect of Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation. I suffer from different diseases that caused me to file for disability. Anyway, long story short, I’m back wanting to contribute. I, also, had a friend who was wanting to retire, the last few years, from mower repair that contacted me to help him out with his workload during the last few summers. Anyway, Max (my friend) passed away this last fall. So, I am working his customer base as well as building my own. I am working on mowers for sale this spring as well as servicing mowers for customers for the mowing season. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to help you with your lawnmower needs. Wether it be a different mower or service on your current model.

Winter maintenance can be as simple as shutting off the gas on your push mower,riding lawnmower and running the engine until it stops. If you don’t have a shut-off in the fuel line empty the gas tank and then run until the engine stops. When I service a lawn mower I will install a shut-off valve as part of my service package. Well that’s all at this time. Stay safe during this next week and have a Merry Christmas!
