Two megawatts, thrown on all at once.

Most load bank tests step the load on in stages, 25 then 50 then 75 then full. This one doesn't. We dumped the entire rated load onto this 2000kW Rehlko in a single hit, dropped it, and slammed it back on. That's what happens when the power fails and the ATS hands the whole building to the generator at once. It's the hardest thing a standby set ever has to do, and this one barely flinched.

This 0-hour 2000kW Kohler standby set ran a full load bank test in Brighton and carried rated load clean. Mitsubishi S16R V16 diesel, 277/480V three-phase, six leads, basically zero hours on the clock. Every set we move gets pulled to its full rating on the bank so the buyer knows it performs before it lands, not after a facility is already counting on it.

This customer had a 500kW Cummins and a list of changes a normal supplier could not handle. A bright red shore power plug for 120v. A distribution panel for extra breakers. A cable rerouted out the side of the enclosure when the stub up would not line up, so we built a flap to run it through. We handled all of it on one phone call. 255 hours. The build year says 2008, the meter says it has run for about ten days total in all that time.
