At certain times in life you wonder why you are in the position that you're in; then all of the sudden something hits you very hard as to one of the reasons why.

Over the last few days we have been helping some guys learn how to drill. I had just finished a meeting with one of the County guys over the area and myself and him started to talk about a crew that had worked in his area around 30 years ago; and about how efficiently and how well they ran things while they worked in his area. He said that he has yet to see a crew run as efficient since then until now. He said the way that our crews are operating everything is the exact way that the other crew did 30 years ago. Then he started describing the equipment they had. They had been running a dual, D8 cat train. The crew was unfortunately killed in a plane wreck weeks after working in this area.

Everything began to hit me like a ton of bricks then! He had been talking about the family of the man that trained me on his drill several years ago! This man, Charles Ross was a once in a lifetime friend that myself and my family was very proud to know!!! I owe my career to this man and his training!!! If it wasn't for Charles and a few others, I would not be so blessed to be in this industry today!!! I wasn't family to Charles by no means, but definitely feel like Bethurem Cable is leading through with the Ross family legacy. I know you're here with us brother!
