SEEKING EXPERIENCED WELDERS!

Busy Brighton assembly plant is currently seeking experienced welders.

Pay: $19.50-$24.00 an hr.
Monthly Bonus!

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A WRITTEN AND HANDS ON WELD TEST.
Responsibilities:
- Follow and understand the responsibilities put forth per the “Welder Level 1 Certification Checklist”.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully rework welding defects in accordance with any and all company and customer standards and requirements (ex. Uniform visual appearance, leak free, etc.)
- Understand and know how to replace all GMAW consumables on manual welding equipment.
- Understand and know how to select and replace filler material for GMAW and GTAW manual equipment.
- Understand and know how to setup GMAW and GTAW equipment parameters.
- Understand and know how to select and replace all GTAW consumables on manual welding equipment.
- Understand how to read and analyze a Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and/or NC-Setup sheet, and thus adjust equipment and personal settings to follow the document.
- Assess and troubleshoot welding defects on non-conforming assemblies and sub-assemblies and determine the correct method to make the units conforming.
- Understand and know how to properly use rework equipment (angle grinder, cut-off wheels, sanding equipment, drills, etc.) to properly fabricate the non-conforming units into conforming units.
- Inform production line supervisor when rework fabrication outside of a rework cell is complete so assemblies can be reintroduced into the line.
- Other duties to be assigned by plant management, EPU management, engineering and quality teams.
