Project Feature: Three Mile Outlook House

Situated on a silt bluff overlooking Three Mile Beach in Penticton, British Columbia, this vineyard residence boasts distinctive weathering steel elements both on the exterior and interior.

The weathering steel panels play a pivotal role in marking essential transitions within the home, seamlessly guiding from the entry to the primary bedroom wing and the living room fireplace.

Introducing Durango Station, the desert-inspired gateway to Las Vegas' Durango Casino & Resort. The project was constructed featuring custom facade and architectural elements weathering steel fabricated and finished by Dissimilar Metal Design.

Weathered steel water features, Integrated planters and column covers, were all attached using concealed fasternier systems allowing for a smooth planar aesthetic,. The rugged materiality of the weathered steel patina echoes the desert theme while providing structural definition, fostering a harmonious connection between the built environment and the surrounding landscape.

The project is designed by the Friedmutter Group with exteriors by JIVE Architecture. Installation by Southwest Speciality Contracting and Water FX.

Ledger features 50,000 soft of custom engineered, fabricated and finished copper patina panels by Dissimilar Metal Design.

Nestled in the heart of Birmingham, MI, the Michigan residence beautifully displays the craftmanship of natural materials within the context of a home. Designed by Khanna Schultz, enlisting our Design Assist process, Dissimilar Metal Design was able to bring their architectural vision to life. The project scope featured custom engineering, detailing, and fabrication for the facade and landscape metal detailing resulting in 4,000 square feet of gracefully weathered steel.

Khanna Schultz ensured that no detail was overlooked, ensuring the light play complemented the patina's beauty and variation.

Welcome to a Pacific wren’s view of 419 Occidental Ave.

Surely this songbird has much to sing about as it flies over this rooftop oasis of sustainability in Pioneer Square Seattle. From solar panels to lush gardens to beehives supporting the area’s ecosystem, this roof connects office tenants and visitors to nature. Not to mention spectacular views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Peaks, and the Stadium District.

Ledger is a new 230,000 sqft of mixed-use office building in the heart of Downtown Bentonville expanding connectivity between the workplace and the urban context. Constructed with 50,000 SF of custom engineered, fabricated and finished copper patina panels by Dissimilar Metal Design. This groundbreaking structure boasts the world's first six-story bikeable exterior, offering unmatched views of Downtown Bentonville.
