Just finally got around to post this on our page. We had the pleasure of working with Rachel Mica Weiss on a project that she did for the Pittsburgh Airport. If you have several minutes check it out! In the end it turned out to be a pretty cool piece of work she created. If you are ever in the airport, you might see it hanging around.

Wheaton and Sons is searching for a full-time entry level machinist to assist with machining. Experience would be a plus.
This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a new career in the fabrication industry. If you have a sincere interest in machining, this trade may be the position for you.
Applicant will be trained on the job to perform all machining and secondary operations
The Machinist will also be responsible for setting up machines, creating fixtures, programming machine, running parts, and cleaning them up. Day to day activities may include assisting with other tasks throughout the business as necessary.
Job Duties:
Setup, program and run both CNC and manual milling and lathe equipment
Set up fixtures
Deburring, countersinking, and other jobs as necessary
Responsible for daily housekeeping of the work area including chip removal and machine internal clean outs and general maintenance
Job Requirements
Willingness to learn and work well with others
Must be able to work on feet for 8 hour shift
Able work overtime when necessary
Understanding of basic math and blue print reading a plus
On the job training provided
Willingness to be flexible with responsibilities throughout the workday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: decided upon interview and experience
hours: 40 per week

Huge shout out to our guys in the shop. Finished up some galvanized platforms for a customer located in Texas. You need fabricated parts come to Pittsburgh where we are known for our steel. Wheaton and Sons!!

Huge, stainless steel weldment being shipped out today. Awesome job by our crew to handle this piece and get it shipped out to a local customer. Now time to start the opposite side to this monster.
