Last Saturday our team had the pleasure of being involved in Jackson Hole's 2026 Eco Fair! The Eco Fair is a vibrant community event that celebrates sustainability, environmental stewardship, and conscious living through engaging workshops, interactive exhibits, local vendors, live music, and family-friendly activities. By bringing together nonprofits, businesses, and community members, the Eco Fair inspires practical action toward reducing waste, conserving energy, and protecting the natural beauty of the Jackson Hole area. We are thankful to be in a community that celebrates and brings attention to the economy and its sustainability.

As Memorial Day comes closer, we want to thank our military community and those who have served our country. We will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

Last weekend, our Grand Junction and Salt Lake teams met up in Moab for a Spring/Summer BBQ weekend. Johnathan Van Vleet couldn’t have said it better!

Great culture doesn’t come from posters on the wall — it’s built in the moments outside the office.

This past weekend, our team traded desks for dirt and spent time biking in Moab, Utah. No agendas, no deadlines — just good people, pushing themselves, encouraging each other, and having a blast.

What stood out wasn’t just the riding — it was how naturally the same things that make us strong at work showed up on the trail:
• Supporting each other through challenges
• Celebrating wins (even the small ones)
• Trusting the people around you

Experiences like this don’t just make for a fun weekend — they build stronger teams, better communication, and real relationships that carry back into the work we do every day.

In honor of , we are highlighting a milestone project that showcases the power of local collaboration and female leadership in AEC.

The Bozeman Women in AEC group recently toured the structures for the new Big Sky Resort Explorer Gondola and Lone Peak Tram hosted by Jackson Contractor Group. E1 is honored to have provided the engineering design for the Explorer Gondola Midstation (pictured) alongside CLB Architects, creating a seamless and sophisticated mountain experience for the Big Sky community.

Seeing the technical complexity of these remarkable projects firsthand was a reminder of why diversity in AEC is so vital—it brings fresh perspectives to our most challenging designs.

This week feels extra special to us here at E1 because we get to celebrate the incredible engineers we work alongside every single day! Our team, who carries big responsibilities and shows up ready to collaborate and get the job done right.

Engineering isn’t just calculations and drawings — it’s creativity, persistence, teamwork, and heart. It’s asking “how can we demand better?” and not stopping until the answer is found. It’s turning challenges into incredible solutions that make a difference for our clients, our communities, and each other.

Yesterday, the E1 team and Highline Partners met for a construction project closeout meeting on a large Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Controls, and Power systems project located in Big Sky Montana. The meeting consisted of a 2 hour site walk to ensure quality control along with conversations about the general logistics of the project. After the extensive walk through, we moved the meeting to our big sky office to recap on schedule, communication, and labor allocations. It was a highly effective collaboration among individuals, allowing us to share information and help us learn how to be better moving forward in addition to the recap of our accomplishments so far.
