The 5 Rules of Loading an Enclosed Trailer:

Rule1. Put heavier items toward the front
Keep the heavier part of your load (ideally 60% of the total load weight) ahead of the trailer axle rather than stacking everything at the rear.

Rule 2. Keep the weight centered
Distribute cargo evenly from side to side to help the trailer track properly.

Rule 3. Keep your load balanced
Aim for about 10–15% of the loaded trailer's weight on the tongue. Too little tongue weight can contribute to sway.

Rule 4. Secure what you carry
Use appropriate tie-downs to keep equipment, tools, and other cargo from shifting during the trip.

Rule 5. Give everything a final check
Before you hit the road, walk around the trailer and make sure your cargo, doors, hitch, tires, and connections are ready for the trip.

Loading an enclosed trailer isn't complicated, but where you put things matters. Keep the heavier cargo toward the front, distribute weight evenly, and secure anything that could move around.

A few extra minutes before you leave can make for a much better trip.
