People have been calling to ask what the newly announced tariffs will mean for pricing and availability of parts. At this point we do not have a clear picture of how this will shake out, but we have started limiting estimates to parts in stock, and only providing pricing good for 7 days. We also have removed sale listings of some of our most popular products. Many of our suppliers have already notified us of pricing increases effective immediately….

Giving the Ford folks some Love, balancing up a 428" Small Block Ford using Mahle pistons, our own DMB Performance 6.250" H-Beam Power Adder connecting rods, and 4340 Forged crankshaft. Our combination uses Cleveland Main Journals, and SBC style Power Adder connecting rods with ARP bolts. With our new DMB Performance 220cc CNC ported SBF heads, this combination is going to make some of our SBC 427 customers nervous. (yes, our new SBF head flows more than the 220cc SBC head)

The numbers are in, and our new SBC CNC Ported 220cc Angle Plug cylinder head flows... 311 CFM @ .600 lift. This is not BS marketing numbers like many of our competitors use, but real 3rd party flow bench data from a well known cylinder head shop. These heads will be offered with 2.10/1.60 8mm stem stainless valves, 10 degree retainers, and solid roller springs good for .700 lift, + or - 260 degree duration for $1899 pair. Can we fix up a very hurt Dart Little M block for our customer? We can sure give it a try... Lesson here, make sure you have your spiro locks fully seated, correctly, so this does not happen to you. Just a few seconds checking them can be the difference in a $6000+ Little M Block, yes, Dart, just raised prices again. Check back later to see if we repaired the block successfully.

Folks, make sure you store your core blocks inside and dry, this standard bore 454 4 bolt block came in with "slight" rust in the cylinders, 4 still showed rust pits at .030" over , 1 still showed rust at .060", and even .070" over, so we decided to install a sleeve to save the block. Bored the cylinder to 4.5015" with a step at the bottom to give the sleeve .0015" crush, Froze the sleeve in dry ice for 3 hours, and like magic a few light taps with the dead blow, and it was done... No Drama! Clamped the sleeve down for good measure while it warmed up. After machining it looks like it grew there...

Today at the Shop, another 427 Small Block Chevrolet is going together, this has been our most popular combination recently with 3 in the last month. This combination features a 4340 Forged Crankshaft, SRP Pro 2618 pistons, 4340 Forged H beam connecting rods with ARP 2000 rod bolts in a new Dart SHP Block. Do you prefer our standard 1 coat black paint job, or the upgraded multi coat Chevy Orange?
