Massachusetts Production Coalition Massachusetts Production Coalition (MPC) is an organization representing the largest network of film, television, and media professionals and businesses in MA.

The Massachusetts Production Coalition (MPC) is a 501 (c)(6) non-profit corporation representing the largest and most diverse network of film and media professionals and businesses throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Our members include production and post production companies; educational and professional organizations; talent and craft unions; equipment, facility, and service providers

; and creative professionals that are engaged in or related to the production of visual media. MPC was the foremost industry representative to work with the Governor and legislature toward passage of the state’s film tax incentive program, which has vastly improved the economic environment for film, television, and commercial production. This in turn has led to the creation of scores of new businesses and thousands of new jobs in the state. We continue to be the industry advocate to retain the film production incentive program in Massachusetts.

The series was based at New England Studios for 7 months and filmed for over 80 days in 13 cities and towns, including: Ayer, Berlin, Devens, Essex, Gloucester, Groton, Harvard, Maynard, Rockport, Shirley, Sudbury, Wayland, and Worcester.

We’re saddened by the passing last week of Kayellen “KLN” Moran – a highly respected and deeply beloved commercial producer, and a true force in our community.

Known for her sharp instincts, generosity on set, and the way she brought people together, Kayellen built a career defined not just by great work, but by lasting relationships. She led with confidence and heart, and made everyone around her better. She will be greatly missed.

After a long New England winter, it’s time to get back out and reconnect. 😊

Join us this Monday for MPC’s Winter Meeting at The Huntington’s Calderwood Pavilion—an evening of conversation, new work, and time with colleagues from across the film and media community.

We’ll kick things off with a casual cocktail hour, followed by a member showcase featuring GLP Creative, ELEMENT, and Vagrants. Moderated by Barry Frechette from Connelly Partners.

Each will share recent work and reflect on the trends, opportunities, and challenges shaping production right now.

On March 7, the Massachusetts Production Coalition (MPC) held their annual Boston Camera Bootcamp at Red Sky Studios. The event, for students and those aspiring to a career behind the camera, was led by Local 600 camera professionals. Attendees had the chance to participate in camera demos and workshops, as well as take in conversations about various crafts within the camera department.

🎥 Camera Bootcamp this Saturday at Red Sky Studios! 🎥

Starting your career in the camera department – or looking to better understand how on-set roles actually function?

Spend the day with working camera professionals from major film and television productions as they walk through department structure and workflow, equipment, and hands-on breakout demos – followed by a candid career panel and Q&A.

Produced with support from ICG: International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600), Rule Boston Camera, and Talamas.

A hands-on workshop led by working camera professionals exploring the crafts, equipment, and workflow of today’s film and television productions.
