My daughter, Brittany, spoils me, so I'm going to use her Father's Day present to go out sailing on the Schooner Eastwind on Tuesday.
Why Tuesday you ask?
Well it's WindJammer Week and on Tuesday the fleet comes in, as I get to sail around them, maybe even lead them back into the harbor. This is too cool, Put on your pirate panties and buy a ticket. This sounds like a very good compromise. Staying completely out of Zone 1, where the lobstering, young fish & hatching habitat is taking place, should produce clean energy while causing little environmental damage. We must address climate change, and this is a huge unharnessed natural energy source.

The federal government today announced the final Wind Energy Area where development of offshore wind may occur in the Gulf of Maine.

Today we are celebrating the remarkable achievement of Cole Brauer, the first American woman to race solo, nonstop AROUND THE WORLD 👏🏻🎉in her 40’ racing boat First Light!

We watched Cole during her journey as she showed us her skill, determination, reliance on her team for support, courage and honesty as she spent 4 months at sea.
Congratulations Cole, you inspire us to do hard things.

Heliotropic Technologies' galatic headquarters has been changed into an AirBnB with a very low environmental footprint and received a 5.0 rating last year making us Super Hosts. Trudy's homemade muffins, her gardens and the location has our guests raving! We will be taking reservations for this summer, running from mid-May through October. We have great views of the harbor and just a short 1/4 mile walk to the footbridge. Hope to see you soon.
