Welcoming the next generation of engineers! ⭐ Our team recently had the pleasure of hosting three local high school seniors interested in exploring the engineering career path. Amelia Hernandez, Ashley DeBie-Aguilar, Hailey Revel-Whitaker, and Izamar Pasillas shared their insights on controls and automation, offering a glimpse into our projects and the work we do every day. After a tour of the office and introductions to other team members, we wrapped up the day with lunch, learning more about their interests and answering any questions they had.
One of our team members, Ashley, shared, "Being a woman in a STEM-related field can be difficult and daunting at times, especially as a young woman. When I was in high school and through the first few years of my college career, I didn’t really know what being an engineer entailed, let alone what controls/automation/systems integration was. Throughout college and early in my career, women engineers frequently made the effort to take me (and other young women) under their wing, which has inspired me to do the same."
We love the work we do and are committed to sharing our knowledge and experiences with the next generation of engineers, helping them navigate their own paths in STEM.
