Christopher Lee from Vancouver and Andy Pirela from Austin spent last week working out of the Toronto office, so the team took the opportunity to get together for burgers and beers before they headed home.

One thing that's always been encouraged at Silvaris is spending time in different offices. As long as the work gets done, people have the flexibility to work from another location, collaborate in person and get to know colleagues they might otherwise only interact with through calls, emails and Teams meetings.

A week of meetings, problem-solving and collaboration ended with good food, a few drinks and a lot of stories. Not a bad way to wrap things up.

American lumber capacity as mill curtailments, closures and tariff pressure continue affecting the market.

That’s showing up in real ways for buyers trying to manage pricing, inventory and lead times across building materials.

It’s also one reason more companies are taking a closer look at B-Grade/downfall inventory.

For a lot of applications, appearance is not the priority. Keeping projects moving and sourcing dependable truckload volume is.

We help wholesale buyers source B-Grade OSB, plywood, roofing, fencing, flooring, siding and other inventory moving across North America.

When supply gets tighter or pricing starts moving quickly, secondary material can create more flexibility without slowing down operations.

If you’re trying to fill a gap, source volume quickly or find material for a specific application, reach out. We’ll let you know what inventory is moving right now.

Not every part of a building needs the same finish standard. On industrial and commercial projects, utility walls, loading dock areas and back-of-house facades are often built for performance first. That’s where B-Grade siding can make a lot of sense.

Builders are finding practical ways to use available inventory where appearance isn’t the priority — helping control costs, maintain progress and keep material moving without compromising function.

We work with buyers across North America sourcing truckload quantities of siding for exactly these kinds of applications. Read our blog post, "Siding That Works Behind the Scenes," and reach out if you’re sourcing siding for an upcoming project.

Multi-unit flooring projects rarely go off track because of the install itself. The bigger issue is usually consistency. A product gets discontinued halfway through a project. Inventory runs short between phases. A replacement doesn’t quite match the original spec.

Suddenly crews are slowing down, substitutions are happening or units stop looking consistent across the build. That’s why more builders are securing surplus and closeout inventory in bulk upfront.

Check out our latest blog post, ”Flooring for Multi-Unit Builders,” and if you’re trying to keep a project moving without scrambling for matching material halfway through the next phase, reach out. We can help source flooring inventory that aligns with your specs before availability becomes the problem.

Not every project needs first-quality material. A lot of our industrial buyers are focused on one thing: getting dependable OSB supply that shows up on time and performs the way it needs to for pallets, crating and industrial manufacturing.

Right now, OSB is moving fast across North America and supply is tightening. We move two-thirds of all B-Grade OSB inventory in North America, which gives buyers access to volume and availability that’s getting harder to find through standard channels.

If you’re trying to secure truckload OSB before the next round of shortages and delays hits, now’s the time to start the conversation.

OSB supply is getting tighter across North America, and buyers are adjusting quickly.

Trade pressure between the U.S., Canada and Mexico is changing how material moves across borders. As supply becomes less predictable, industrial buyers are looking for reliable B-Grade OSB they can get without delay.

For pallet builders, crating companies and industrial operations, availability matters just as much as price.

We move two-thirds of wholesale B-Grade OSB inventory across North America, helping buyers access consistent volume when supply tightens.

Need truckload quantities of B-Grade OSB for pallets, crating or industrial packaging? We can help you lock in available inventory.

Agricultural roofing decisions are usually pretty straightforward: match the material to how the building is actually used.

A feed barn has different demands than a storage shed. A workshop doesn’t need the same roofing solution as an equipment shelter. That’s why contractors and property owners often mix materials across the same property — using metal where durability matters most, shingles on smaller structures and rolled roofing where fast, affordable coverage gets the job done.

It’s also where B-grade, discontinued and surplus roofing can make a lot of sense. On many agricultural buildings, appearance consistency matters far less than reliable performance and practical pricing.

We put together a closer look at how shingles, metal and rolled roofing are being used across barns, sheds and storage buildings — and where secondary roofing inventory can help reduce costs without sacrificing coverage.

Read our recent blog post, "Roofing for Agriculture" for a practical breakdown of where each roofing type fits best, then reach out if you'd like a quote or a snapshot of our current roofing inventory.
