VersaBuilt develops and manufactures Robotic CNC Machine Tending Systems for the metal cutting industry. VersaBuilt was founded as a result of Rekluse Motor Sports'(our parent company) ongoing lean improvement efforts. The VersaBuilt VBX-160 represents a new category of machine tending products. It requires no robot programming, no robot teach pendant or elaborate employee training. The genius of

the VersaBuilt VBX-160 is the patent-pending MultiGrip Soft Jaw system. But MultiGrip Soft Jaws are also engaged by the robot arm to pick a part from the shelf and transfer it to the CNC vise for processing. The same soft jaws that hold the part in the CNC are used by the VBX-160 to transfer parts in and out of the CNC. To introduce a new part the machinist simply cuts a set of MultiGrip Soft Jaw blanks to handle it. The VBX-160's shelf infeed system can store up to 52 8.5" wide parts or as many as 250 2" wide parts ( or a combination) in a single load. The top shelves are used to hold the MultiGrip soft jaws. Interchangeable shelf templates quickly locate parts and are available in a variety of configurations to accommodate different part sizes. The VBX-160 will machine parts through one, two or even three operations without operator intervention. It rinses and blows off excess coolant and chips before returning a completed part to the shelf. The VBX-160 integrates easily with almost any CNC machine. All communications and control signals pass through the CNC's serial port. A large easy to use color touch screen control is used to configure parts and run jobs.
