TERJET PRECISION CUTTING MACHINES


Abrasive waterjet cutting is a process for cutting materials using a stream of high pressure water, mixed with an abrasive to aid with the cut. The nozzle is moved on X and Y axes under computer control and can cut precision shapes that are difficult or impossible to make using other processes. The surface finish of a part cut with this processappears as though it was semi sanded. There is no HAZ, or heat affected zone when you cut with water as you will have when you cut with plasma, laser or oxy-acetylene flame. There is zero discoloration due to heat and this is crucial if your part is visible after assembly. If your part is already hard, and you dont want to anneal the part so someone can machine it, we can cut it regardless of temper! We can cut any of these up to six inches thick

Very cool to be a part of this amazing phoenix sculpture by of for the Town of Huntington opioid and addiction task force !

The sculpture is located in Heckshcher park in Huntington, behind the church in a beautifully landscaped area overlooking the park.

We were honored to have been asked to be a part of this with you Susan! We cut all of the wording in the panels, all of the signs around it that you see as well as laser marked the QR Codes for helpful resources and messages!

Once again, Thankyou Susan for picking us for the job!

* LONG HAPPY POST ALERT*

As many of you probably don't know , my dad, Ron is retiring today from being the owner of Long Island Waterjet for just about 23 years! I bought the company from my dad to continue the legacy that he started all these years ago and as of January 1 I (AJ) will be the new owner of Long Island Waterjet!

Dad, it has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life to be able to work alongside of you for the last 10+ years and learn every day from you since I was born. Not too many people are lucky enough to say that they got to work their entire career up until this point with their dad, and still hangout on the weekends and not hate each other hahaha. Coming to work every day has been nothing short of awesome. Coming in and getting to spend time with you and get our work done. Has never felt like coming into work a day in my life since I started here.

Just looking back and reflecting on everything we have done here. You really have something to be so proud of here that you created. Expanding over the years, all new machines, went from buying 3 bags of garnet at once to truckloads to keep up with demand. I mean seriously, incredible!

I will be forever grateful for the opportunity you have put in front of me to be able to buy the company and pursue our dream of growing this thing, even bigger than we already have. What we have accomplished together here with this business is just mind blowing and absolutely incredible. Yes, we have had our growing pains and we've taken our lumps, but we always come out on top, and we have always supported one another figuring this thing out together!

thank you for investing the time and trust into me to carry on this legacy that we have built! I want nothing more than to make you proud with me taking over here, and I can tell how proud you are to have built a business that you are able to pass the torch on, and I hope one day to be able to do the same.

Happy retirement day Dad, I am very excited and happy for you to go be able to enjoy your life and catch as many fish as you want.
