ACCESSORIES CLERK
Position Summary:
Places orders for Metal Mart, records material that is received, and processes invoices for payment.
Essential Functions:
• Attach receivers to purchase orders and write on PO what items have been received. Attach invoices to PO to be approved and then paid.
• Place orders for Metal Mart.
• Contacts vendors regarding questions on McElroy Metal and Metal Mart purchase orders.
• Records quotes and authorizations to purchase in appropriate books and assigns each one a number.
• Enters purchase orders into the computer for McElroy Metal and Metal Mart.
Non-Essential Functions:
• Checks fax machine and distributes faxes.
• Other duties as required.
Mental Skills and Abilities:
• Math - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; to use practical application of fractions and percentages.
• Reading - Ability to read and understand technical journals, manuals, reference books, and financial reports.
• Writing - Ability to write business letters, summaries, and reports using proper format and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style.
• Speaking - Ability to be conversant in the principles and methods of effective and persuasive speaking and discussion.
Education/Training:
• High School Diploma.
Experience/Skills:
• General office experience including knowledge and experience with Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows.

Physical Demands:
• Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Balancing - Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
• Crouching - Bending the body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
• Fi*****ng - Picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers.
• Eye-Hand-Foot Coordination - The ability to coordinate hand and/or foot motions with visual stimuli in order to engage in or perform physical activities, such as typing, operating vehicles or mechanical equipment, etc.

• Seeing - The ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye. The important aspects of vision are:
(a) Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
Other Requirements:
• none
Supervision/Contacts:
• Receives supervision from Material Manager Buyer.
• Daily contact with corporate employees and other division employees; weekly contact with Customer Service; occasional contact with Metal Mart A/P.
• Daily contact with vendors.
Environment:
• Employee is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes when inside.
