Recap on opening race weekend, better late than never! Lol
This past weekend was truly unforgettable, and although it wasn't the season opener we had envisioned, it laid a valuable foundation for growth. Dillon faced numerous challenges head-on and made tremendous strides in overcoming them in such a short span. The jitters and anxiety stemming from his recent accident were understandable, but he courageously pushed past the fear of racing with others and the anxiety of potential wrecks. Even with a new kart and chassis due to the previous crash, Dillon pushed on.
Given the tight timeframe between getting the new chassis and racing, coupled with weather setback during that same time, his seat time was limited. Spent the weekend racing in cadet novice, Dillon aggressively sought speed and consistency, ending the weekend on a high note with noticeable improvement.
His confidence soared, and he managed to shave off better lap times than before. True growth takes time, and we know that substantial progress won't happen overnight, especially over a single race weekend.
We're geared up and ready for the next race, where we'll build on this momentum in the meantime.
