We can't seem to catch a break this year.
Deegan got in the kart and put in some laps trying to get used to turning, gas, brake. Ran off track and hit a tree in the timber.
He hit it at a very weird angle and almost took the spindle clean off.
Im able to get it back together even though it ain't pretty, it will hopefully be drivable to get the basics down.
We will be needing a new frame for next year when he starts racing.
Wish us luck.

Recap on opening race weekend, better late than never! Lol

This past weekend was truly unforgettable, and although it wasn't the season opener we had envisioned, it laid a valuable foundation for growth. Dillon faced numerous challenges head-on and made tremendous strides in overcoming them in such a short span. The jitters and anxiety stemming from his recent accident were understandable, but he courageously pushed past the fear of racing with others and the anxiety of potential wrecks. Even with a new kart and chassis due to the previous crash, Dillon pushed on.
Given the tight timeframe between getting the new chassis and racing, coupled with weather setback during that same time, his seat time was limited. Spent the weekend racing in cadet novice, Dillon aggressively sought speed and consistency, ending the weekend on a high note with noticeable improvement.
His confidence soared, and he managed to shave off better lap times than before. True growth takes time, and we know that substantial progress won't happen overnight, especially over a single race weekend.
We're geared up and ready for the next race, where we'll build on this momentum in the meantime.

Not sure if we are racing this weekend or not just yet due to track conditions from the major storm last weekend, but we are ready either way.
Also we are actively looking for sponsors for this race season. So, if you are a business, of any kind, looking to put your name out there with some marketing, whilst also supporting a 9 year old kid into going fast, please reach out to us by messenger.

We have a few sponsors already, but there are still alot more availible.

In the shop today with Dillon, Dillon is happy getting fitted and adjusted in his new kart chassis. Thrashing to get it together, him comfortable, and some laps in before the first race.

Timing hasn't been great with everything seeming to be last minute but we will get it one way or another.

Praying everything passes the shakedown test once we get it out there and get some laps in.

What a great way to start off the race season and we are not even to the first race!

Dillon spun out trying to pass during a practice session and ran into the barriers. He was shook up was perfectly fine.

We tried to get some replacement parts and got it on the frame table but unfortunately, it looks like this chassis it to far gone.

We will be looking to get a replacement chassis before the first race.

We don't know exactly why, but we have faith that this is a good thing.
