❤️ Thank You, Connersville
It has been a few weeks since the flooding in Connersville, and looking back at these photos, it is still difficult to put into words just how much damage was done.
The basement of our Connersville location was completely underwater, and floodwaters reached approximately three feet throughout the building. Equipment, supplies, inventory and so much more had to be removed and thrown away. Seeing the loss inside our building has been heartbreaking and we know we are only one of many businesses, families and organizations throughout the Connersville community dealing with the aftermath of this flood.
But these photos also tell another story.
They show the people who stepped up when they were needed most.
To the George’s team members who came in to clean, carry, tear out, sort and do whatever needed to be done — thank you.
To our pharmacy staff who have continued working through difficult and far-from-normal conditions to keep the pharmacy operating and make sure our customers can get the medications they need — thank you.
To our Medical Equipment team, who continue finding ways to serve customers even while offices and workspaces remain damaged — thank you.
And to everyone who has offered a hand, checked on someone, helped a neighbor, supported a local business or simply asked, “What can I do?” — thank you.
There is still a lot of work ahead. Our building isn't back to normal, and the impact of this flood won't disappear overnight. But watching our employees and the entire Connersville community come together has been an incredible reminder of what a community can do when people take care of one another.
We are incredibly grateful for our George’s family and proud to be part of the Connersville community. ❤️
