Your Problem: Inconsistent part detection caused by shadows, reflections, or changing ambient light.

mk Solution: Integrate a backlit inspection zone directly into the conveyor.

Together: Cleaner images, more reliable inspections, and a simpler machine layout.

This animation breaks down a backlit flat belt conveyor design, showing how the illuminated section becomes part of the overall automation solution—not just the transport system.

For OEMs and engineers, sometimes the conveyor is more than transportation, it's a critical part of the inspection process.

When accumulation is part of the process, conveyor design becomes about more than just throughput.

This VersaFlex Recirculating Bi-Flow Conveyor combines flexible chain, modular belting, adjustable side guides, and dedicated takeaway lanes to help maintain controlled product flow while adapting to changing production demands.

05/29/2026

As production demands evolve, conveyor systems need to support more than just automated product movement.

They need to support:
• Faster changeovers for batch products
• More effective operator interaction
• Flexible product handling
• Safer and more accessible layouts

This manual application setup demonstrates how lift & rotate stations, adjustable lane positioning, and lift gates can help engineers create more adaptable manufacturing systems without overengineering the process.

Efficient automation starts with practical problem solving.

Moving product vertically doesn’t have to slow your line down.

This VersaFlex A06 Alpine Conveyor application combines continuous flow within elevation changes, product diverting, and controlled singulation into one compact conveyor solution.

Ideal for manufacturers and OEMs looking to:
• Reduce floor space usage
• Maintain product flow
• Improve downstream alignment with increased line efficiency

When space constraints and throughput requirements collide, flexible conveyor design matters.

05/12/2026

Safety shouldn’t slow your system.

The VersaMove gondola shuttle system provides controlled, low-force movement to transport parts across open walkways without disrupting flow. Integrated rotation within the shuttle path maintains part orientation without adding footprint or complexity.

A smarter approach to layout challenges.

The best solution isn’t just functional. It’s resilient.

The application challenge: Bulk-drop-loaded steel and copper fine scrap, shavings, and chip transport from customer machinery up to scrap bin deposit.

The mk solution: Our KFS-P 2040.86 steel belt and steel-hinged conveying solution provided a strong and durable belt and frame solution to stand up to the various sharp-edged metal shavings presented in the application. Steel chain belting eliminated the traditional risks presented by traditional fabric or plastic modular belting in bulk sharp metal transport of belt wear, slicing, or shaving due to the process at hand.

That’s why our steel-hinged solutions like the KFS-P 2040 exist: to provide a more durable, metal and impact-resistant alternative that holds up under aggressive production needs.

Complex product flow through curves and transfers often leads to misalignment, binding, and inconsistent handoff to automation.

This adapted ZRF-P timing belt system solves this with controlled movement at every stage. Pneumatic stops for product-carrier staging and accumulation, a dual-lane timing belt and driven transition roller for smooth transfers, and a turn assist wheel that keeps product-carriers tracking cleanly through bends.

The result is consistent delivery to a fixed end stop, ready for automated removal from the line.

04/30/2026

Integrating pneumatics into conveyor systems isn’t just about motion, it’s about control.

From singulation and stopping to diverting and positioning, pneumatic devices add precise, repeatable functionality at critical points along the line.

Combined with modular conveyor platforms, these systems enable flexible layouts while maintaining consistent product handling.

The result: controlled flow, reduced variability, and systems designed for real-world production demands.
