😂🐄 ANOTHER DAY IN THE SHOP… AND ANOTHER CUSTOMER WHO DOESN’T PAY! 😂

So today, a customer reached out wanting two cow pictures made. She supplied the images, but I had to handle the editing, UV printing, building the frames, adding the hanging hardware, glue, brad nails, assembly, and all the good old-fashioned manual labor that goes into getting a project finished. 💪🪵

And after all that work, I still have to deliver them… and guess what? I STILL WON’T GET PAID! 🤣

Now, before anybody starts feeling bad for me, let me explain. This particular customer has been taking advantage of my woodworking skills for the past 25 YEARS, and I haven’t seen a single paycheck! Not a dime! 😂

I’m starting to think she believes she has some kind of lifetime contract for FREE custom woodworking, unlimited shop labor, and complimentary installation services.

Well, today I decided to deliver these two fine ladies straight to the customer… and even hung them up on the wall myself. No installation fee, no labor charge, no invoice, and absolutely ZERO chance of collecting payment.

The customer? My wife. 🤣❤️

Apparently, being married means I’m not just a woodworker. I’m also a designer, printer operator, frame builder, delivery driver, and professional picture hanger.

25 years in business with the same customer, and somehow I’m still waiting on my first paycheck! 😂😂

At least the cows turned out pretty good, and the customer seems happy. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to get back to the shop and see what other FREE projects management has lined up for me! 🐄🔨🤣

Soft opening shop tour

🔥 SHOP UPDATE! WE’RE GETTING CLOSER! 🪵💪

Things are finally starting to come together in the new shop!

I’ve been finishing up the cabinet doors, getting tools put away, clearing out boxes, cleaning up, and getting everything into its place. There’s still work to do, but the shop is finally starting to feel like a real workspace instead of one big setup project!

The workflow is coming together, the work areas are getting organized, and I’ve been getting the dust collection system up and running. The goal is to get everything set up right so I can work more efficiently and spend more time doing what I enjoy: building quality, custom woodworking projects.

The big thing on the horizon is the 100-watt laser, which should be arriving in the next week or two! 👀🔥 That’s going to open up even more possibilities for custom designs, personalized gifts, and some exciting new projects.

I’m getting everything prepared for a SOFT OPEN and getting closer to being ready to take on more work. After all the moving, building, organizing, and late nights, it feels good to finally see everything coming together!

SHOP UPDATE 🔥🪵

Another day, another step closer to getting this shop exactly where I want it!

Today was all about installing cabinet doors, getting more things put away, and finishing up the floor tiles. I also upgraded the lighting with the new hexagon lights, and let me tell you, they make a HUGE difference! 💡 The shop is bright now, which is going to make a big difference when it comes to seeing all those little details in the custom projects I’m working on.

Looking at these pictures and comparing them to where this shop started, it’s crazy seeing how far it’s come. There’s still plenty to do, but now we’re getting into the part where everything needs to have its place.

The goal now is to get everything organized and set up in a way that makes sense for my workflow. I want to be able to move from one machine to the next, keep things efficient, and spend less time searching for tools and more time making sawdust and creating custom pieces.

It’s been a lot of work getting everything moved, set up, and dialed in, but we’re getting there one day at a time. 💪

The shop is coming together, the lights are on, and we’re getting closer to making things happen! 🇺🇸🔥

Little more progress in the shop! 💪

Been spending time emptying boxes, hanging shelves, and finally getting things put away where they belong. Still got a ways to go, but it’s slowly coming together and starting to look like I can actually get some work done in here! 😂

Also been working on building my wife a chicken coop for her spoiled chickens. 🐔🤣 These chickens act like they’re staying at a 5-star hotel, so if that’s how these girls think, RENT IS DUE! 😂 🥚 🥚 🥚 🥚

Between getting the shop organized and building luxury accommodations for the chickens, there’s always something going on around here.

One step at a time and we’ll get there. Just wanted to share a little update from where we left off in the last pictures. Still plenty to do, but we’re making progress!
