🏗️ SAMS × RDI | BIRMINGHAM PROJECT UPDATE
Two companies. One complete self-storage solution.

Steel & Metal Systems, Inc. (SAMS) and Roll-Up Door, Inc. (RDI) are working together on this 59,935 sqft self-storage development in Birmingham, AL, featuring nine buildings and 397 storage units.

The project includes 299 exterior drive-up units and 98 interior climate-controlled units, along with a complete RDI door package designed to complement the facility from the outside in.

A major visual feature of the project is the Wasabi Green RDI door package. All 299 exterior roll-up doors are insulated and finished in Wasabi Green, complemented by 24 matching Wasabi Green display doors. Inside, the climate-controlled areas feature 95 glossy white RDI roll-up doors and three glossy white swing doors.

Nearly every building also incorporates recessed entries for the main entrances and HVAC units, contributing to a clean, streamlined exterior design.

From the building systems by SAMS to the doors by RDI, this Birmingham project is a great example of what happens when two teams with decades of self-storage experience work together.
