This year, we're not just celebrating 40 years of success, but also 20 years of being 100% employee-owned!

The decision to become an ESOP back in the early 2000s has created a culture of shared accountability - the sense that every decision matters and every person contributes to something larger. This is how Dwight Hinkel, founder of Applied Engineering, describes his education and early career. Hinkel worked at Steiger Tractor 12 hours a day, 6 days a week all while working toward a Mechanical Engineering degree from NDSU. While time-consuming, this effort and work ethic set the foundation for Dwight's future - and the future success of Applied Engineering.
