At STERIS, our people are at the heart of everything we do—and today, we spotlight Shane, a Senior Account Manager based in Illinois. For more than 11 years, Shane has made a meaningful impact across the Customers and communities he serves.
As the primary STERIS contact for several large hospitals throughout Chicago, Shane manages a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. He shares:“No two days are the same—I might start the day coordinating a repair and end it in a high-level strategic meeting. My core focus is delivering prompt, effective service.”
What energizes Shane most is the opportunity to connect with people. He says, “When my calendar opens up, I can focus on building relationships—that’s where real value is created. Earning trust and forming genuine partnerships is how I deliver the best support.”
For Shane, success is rooted in service and partnership. He says, “I often tell my Customers that my job is to make their job easier—and anytime I can do that, it’s a win for both of us. I don’t want to be just another vendor—I strive to be a true partner in delivering quality healthcare to the communities we serve. What we do matters, especially to those counting on us in times of need.”
Outside of work, Shane values time with his wife and twins. He’s also passionate about fitness and prioritizes staying active with a regular workout routine.
