We are sending warm wishes and huge congratulations to our Birmingham Promise intern Jerome Maynor! Today, he is set to walk across the stage and receive his diploma from Ramsay High School, IB World Studies! Earlier this week, our team supported Jerome by attending his Awards Day Ceremony.

Tonight, he will complete his high school journey, but who says his journey at SARCOR has to end? We are pleased to announce that Jerome will further his education at Lawson State Community College and then join SARCOR as a part-time employee this summer!

Jerome, we are so proud of you! The future is bright. We look forward to seeing you do even more great things in the world of engineering.

Certification Secured! ✅

A huge congratulations to team member Makenzie Lowe! She is now an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1. Makenzie first expressed interest in expanding her skillset in late January. Since then, she has been studying, shadowing, and receiving hands-on training in this area. Then, in April, Makenzie travelled to the ALDOT office in Alexander City, took the test, and passed on the first try.

We love opportunities to help our team members grow both personally and professionally.

As Small Business Week comes to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude as we reflect on the past few days. This week, our firm held a ribbon cutting ceremony for our new office. Yes, SARCOR officially resides in the Woodlawn neighborhood! We were welcomed by Woodlawn United, the City of Birmingham, community stakeholders, family, and friends on Tuesday.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebration. It was a powerful testament to the importance of your collaboration and our commitment. As we continue to grow, we are excited to keep making an impact by investing in our communities, not only through our designs but also through long-lasting partnerships.
