Steel City Metal, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time Structural/Welder/ Fabricator preferred 5 + years experience. Ornamental Metal experience is a plus.
We provide custom high end ornamental metal and fabrication/structural. We are located near Chelsea AL. Working with high end clients creating custom railing, gates, fencing, stairs, and other one-of-a-kind pieces in bronze, aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel for residential and commercial clients. We offer high quality products of outstanding craftsmanship.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience desired in the trade. Self motivated & willing to learn attention to detail & accuracy
ability to prioritize, organize & multitask
ability to work in a fast, physically demanding environment; lifting, bending, standing, etc. team player, determination,
maturity
Preferred experience with Ornamental Metal Fabrication & Installing of railing, stairs, fencing, etc.
strong skill in welding, both MIG & TIG welding on steel, bronze, stainless steel & aluminum
industry relevant experiences
ability to read & interpret CAD shop & design drawings
layout and measure, cutting, sawing, bending, grinding & detailing finishing
knowledge of hand tools; must be able to read a tape measure
industrial forklift operation & crane operation is a plus
We specialize in hand forged metals; experience is a plus
Knowledge of current building codes is a plus.
