Exciting news for Maine’s aviation community! 🛩️

Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport has expanded with a brand-new T-hangar. The building features 10 sub-hangars, specifically designed to meet the airport’s strong demand for aircraft storage, as well as space for new aviation businesses. With the potential to add two additional hangars on site, this project will significantly boost storage capacity at one of Maine's key NPIAS-designated regional airports.

McFarland-Johnson is proud to have led this impactful project, delivering end-to-end services from environmental permitting and design through construction. Supported by Congressionally Directed Spending, Infrastructure Investment Jobs Act, and Airport Improvement Program funding, the first building was completed in early September, paving the way for future private development and new revenue opportunities.

We celebrate Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport for its vision and leadership in advancing aviation and economic growth in the region. We’re honored to help make this vision a reality!
