Geodome Shelter Systems

Geodome Shelter Systems Solving the problems of complexity and precision required to build Geodomes led to this unique design and the resultant patent application.

Geodome Shelter Systems is born from the musings and interest of the founder of Airforms, Inc., an aircraft part manufacturing company specializing in sheet metal parts. CNC equipment locates the bolt holes on the ends of the struts within a few thousandths of an inch and the channels in the struts allow for use of regular framing lumber to complete the Domes into any level of building desired. Id

entification holes are punched in each strut to help the assembly process by positively showing which of the 9 or so different types each is. Precision templates are supplied which make easy work of cutting plywood or other covering materials into the required triangles and locating the screws or fasteners as well. Frames can be assembled in a few hours creating a structure with its own strength and the rest is up to the imagination and skills of the individual.
