We have some exciting news to share! Earlier this month J+M Civil Design merged with RTM Engineering Consultants, a 40-year firm providing a full range of civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design services. We are excited for this opportunity to expand our reach nationwide with 13 additional offices coast to coast, while also providing the same level of service our clients have come to expect from us here locally in Iowa. Moving forward, we will be operating as J+M Civil Design, a division of RTM. Be sure to follow RTM on Facebook to stay up to date with the projects we are working on.

Fall colors are on brilliant display at Ridges Estates in Coal Valley! J+M Civil Design was pleased to work with the developer from concepts to design, and construction is now complete. This residential development has a rural feel, situated on bluffs surrounded by trees and incredible views. Nestled in the heart of Coal Valley, the lot sizes vary from three to six acres.

The 2019-2020 academic year at Black Hawk College in Moline, Illinois brought some nice changes for the students and faculty. J+M worked with Demonica Kemper Architects on a new building addition at the campus.

Improvements included an open-air interior courtyard, new walkways, a bus-drop off area, new lighting, and landscaping. We’re betting that once the school year gets started again, there will be a lot of students taking advantage of that awesome courtyard!

Now that warmer weather is finally here, take the opportunity to enjoy some of the local recreational trails!

j+m provided engineering design and construction administration services for the trail along U.S. 67 from Fenno Road in Bettendorf to the east over Crow Creek. This segment is part of the Mississippi River Trail (MRT) which runs from Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. The complete MRT offers approximately 3,000 miles of on-road bikeways and pedestrian and bicycle pathways for public enjoyment.
