After machining a repaired table, I wanted to come up with a design that would prevent scratching and drags on a new surface. This design allows oil to create a bearing top, but it will not allow a continued scrap or drag from normal use. It should hold up for many years while remaining a unique look and style.

Many power feeds for milling machines sold through catalog distributors are misleading in their performance claims. To get the facts, we conducted our own independent testing—and the results speak for themselves.

Most of these power feeds fall far short of their advertised specs. Don’t be misled by inflated claims.

We tested the U.S.-made Servo Products Model 350X power feed, and it delivered as promised. At just 0.5 IPM, it produced a true 350 in/lbs of torque without stalling—offering four times the power and maintaining consistent cutting performance without slowdown.
