Screw and nut assembly ready for shipment to a hot mill in Alabama!

Machined in house from a raw steel forging and a rough bronze casting, these components started as solid, unmachined blanks. After precision machining and thorough inspection, they are assembled into a complete screwdown unit.

In a hot mill, the screwdown system controls the roll gap, which determines the final thickness of the steel or aluminum being produced. Precision at this level directly impacts quality on every coil that runs through the mill.
