Understanding PDC Reamers

When it comes to HDD drilling, every detail matters. The right tools can make a difference in drilling performance, efficiency, and reliability.

PDC Reamers are designed to enlarge the pilot hole while helping maintain stability and consistent cutting performance throughout the drilling process.

At Infinity Tool MFG, our patented PDC Reamers are designed with a taper and a spiral.

• Taper and Spiral Design: The taper helps centralize the reamer in the pilot hole to ensure a symmetrical hole is cut. The spiral on the reamer helps reduce chatter and fluctuations in torque, resulting in smoother drilling.

• Replaceable Cutter Segments: Allow individual segments to be replaced when needed rather than replacing the entire tool.

• Backout Cutters: Help remove material when the reamer is pulled back through the borehole.

• Thread Connections: Allow additional drilling components, such as stabilizers, to be attached depending on the drilling setup.
