PFP is excited to introduce Clark Vowels, the first of five summer interns joining us this season. Clark is currently a senior at Gonzaga University, where he is majoring in Business Analytics and Economics.

Beyond academics, Clark’s talents shine in music as a guitarist for the Gonzaga Jazz Ensemble, and in sports as a member of the Gonzaga Rugby Club.

Clark states, "Plateau brings together everything I love. Pacific Northwest forests and the fast-paced, dynamic world of macroeconomics. Growing up biking through timber land and now working in the industry that stewards those trees feels like a full-circle moment."

We’re excited for the energy, fresh perspective, and talent Clark brings to our intern cohort. Here’s to a fantastic summer filled with learning, collaboration, and growth together.

Memorial Day and Veterans Day often get mixed up — but they honor two very different groups.

Veterans Day (November 11) celebrates everyone who has worn the uniform. That's the day to thank a Veteran for their service.

Memorial Day (the last Monday in May) is set aside for those who never came home. The fallen. The names on the white headstones. The empty seats at family tables.

So if you see a Veteran this weekend, skip the "Happy Memorial Day." Instead, take a quiet moment to remember the men and women who gave everything so we could live free.

Then fire up the grill, hug your people, and enjoy the start of summer. 💙

Plateau Forest Products, giving back is part of how we do business—and 2025 reminded us how much stronger we are when we partner with our neighbors across Central Oregon and Forest City Trading Group.

In Bend, we were proud to support:

*Warrior Impact through our sponsorship of The Scotch 2025 Golf Tournament & Auction, helping provide critical services to veterans and first responders right here at home. Their mission resonates deeply with our team and our values.

*Mountain Star through our sponsorship of Birdies for Babies, helping to raise funds to support child abuse prevention and early childhood services.

**Sleep in Heavenly Peace, donating money so local children have beds to sleep on. No child should sleep on the floor.

*Fellowship of Christian Athletes, sponsorship of the FCA Cup Golf Tournament & Auction, helping to provide camp scholarships and fill staffing roles in Bend Oregon.

Oregon Duck Hockey program, sponsorship of the Bend Oregon Classic Tournament, bringing college hockey to Bend Oregon and raising funds to support their move to ACHA Division I.

We’re also grateful for the FCTG Giving Foundation, which provides confidential, tax‑free grants to employees and families during unexpected hardship—ensuring we take care of our own when it matters most.

Thank you to our employees, partners, and local organizations who made this year of service possible. In 2026, we’ll continue investing in the communities where we live and work—because strong relationships build better business and a stronger community.
