Every good company has a story — ours starts in Bemidji, Minnesota back in 1982.
What began with one man, a set of tools, and a whole lot of grit has grown into a mechanical contracting team trusted across the Midwest for HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, piping, and mechanical service work.
We’re builders. Problem solvers. Early-morning, late-night, “whatever it takes” people. And after 40+ years, one thing hasn’t changed: we believe in doing quality work at a fair price — and standing behind it.
From sheet metal → to industrial fabrication → to plumbing + piping → to in-house controls and prefab… we’ve built our reputation one project, one solution, and one handshake at a time.
Today, PSM continues to operate out of our Bemidji headquarters — and in 2017 we expanded our footprint with a fully staffed 17,000 sq. ft. office and distribution center in Chanhassen, MN. This gave us space for more prefabrication, more self-performed work, and more capability for our customers.
And as of last year, we’re proud to officially welcome Robert Gibb & Sons to the PSM family — extending our reach into the North Dakota market with offices in Fargo and Bismarck. The Gibb name stays, now backed with expanded PSM resources and capacity (a very Minnesota-meets-North Dakota handshake if you ask us 🤝🏼).
