October 16th is National Boss’s Day!
LID Center staff would like to recognize our director Neil Weinstein for being a thoughtful, fair, exemplary leader. He has run the LID Center for over 22 years with much success. It is a pleasure to work for him (although he would say “with” him). He even has a good sense of humor, which is why we made this cartoon of him. Thank you Neil, for all that you do in making the LID Center a great place to work!

Your experience and expertise planting and maintaining trees in the County (and/or in nearby jurisdictions) is vital to help compile a list of resilient trees intended to withstand the impacts of climate change. Please help by sharing your experience in a brief online survey. Your input will help influence future tree plantings.

It's lawn mowing season again. A friendly reminder to keep your grass clippings off of roads or walkways. Grass clippings are high in nutrients and can cause problems for local waterways. Grass clippings can also clog storm drains. A better solution? Leave healthy grass clippings on your lawn! It's free fertilizer!
