Take a look at the internal components of our hammer mill.To ensure our crushers handle quartz and granite long term we use 20 high chrome iron hammers.

These are specifically chosen for their abrasion resistant properties. The design uses four rows of five hammers that rotate over a 180 degree screen.

The material stays in the crushing chamber until it is small enough to pass through the slots in the screen. This ensures you get a consistent product for your customers every single time.

Here’s a closer look at the material we’re working with. It’s primarily quartz vein ore with pyrite, heavily oxidized, but carrying visible free gold throughout.

We ran this sample through an MBMM 1 ton per hour turnkey system to crush and process it, with the goal of understanding how much gold can actually be recovered once it goes through a full system.

Mount Baker Mining and Metals provides a versatile solution for tailings dewatering and fine particle recovery. This system uses settling velocity to separate material within a specialized basin. As tailings enter, larger particles sink to be augered up the screw and dewatered. You can control the exact size of the recovered material using three side discharge ports. Whether you need to settle out 75 mesh quartz or capture ultra fine material at 200 to 250 mesh, adjusting the basin height gives you full control over your output and your water retention pond.

Testing is underway at Mount Baker Mining and Metals on 400 pounds of granite. This jaw crusher is currently set to an inch and a half minus discharge, though it is capable of a range between 3/4 inch and 2 inches. Results show a throughput of 12 tons per hour.
