Most homeowners focus on the HVAC equipment.
The brand.
The efficiency rating.
The furnace.
The AC.
The heat pump.
But one of the biggest reasons a new HVAC system does not perform properly has nothing to do with the equipment itself.
It is the ductwork.
Bad ductwork can choke airflow, create high static pressure, make rooms uncomfortable, waste energy, increase noise, and prevent high-efficiency equipment from doing what it was designed to do.
And if those ducts are leaking air into an attic, crawlspace, basement, or wall cavity, you may be paying to heat and cool spaces you do not even live in.
In Episode 17 of Information 4 Customer Success, we talk about why your duct system matters so much — and why even the best HVAC equipment can perform poorly when connected to a bad air delivery system.
Your HVAC system is only as good as the ductwork attached to it.
