Survice Engineering Company SURVICE provides innovative systems engineering solutions for both National Defense & Commercial Ent

In 1981, Jim Foulk, an early leader in aircraft survivability, founded a small company with just a few people in northeastern Maryland to support the U.S. Warfighter with unparalleled survivability services—hence the name “SURVICE.” Today, with more than 350 employees and numerous locations across the country, the SURVICE Engineering Company continues to provide these unparalleled services, particularly in the areas of combat system safety, survivability, and effectiveness. In addition, we have continued to grow to match the needs of our customers, expanding and enhancing our capabilities to support the DoD community, as well as the homeland security, advanced technologies, environmental, and commercial markets. But we have also worked hard to retain the original vision upon which SURVICE was founded—to provide the warfighter with the safest, most survivable, and most effective equipment possible. SURVICE has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Baltimore in 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2020. Start your career with SURVICE by applying at https://survice.applicantpro.com/jobmap/

Today, on National Day of the Deployed, we recognize the brave men and women serving far from home, the families who carry the weight of their absence, and the communities that stand behind them. Our mission is to contribute to the technologies, capabilities, and solutions that help those serving carry out their mission.

To every deployed service member: thank you for your dedication, your sacrifice, and your service. And to the families waiting for their safe return, we recognize you too.

✈️ From serving as an aircraft maintenance technician in the U.S. Air Force (USAF) in 2011, active duty from 2011 to 2017, reserves from 2017 to 2019, Air National Guard from 2019 to 2021,and crew chief on KC-135s and C-130s to leading critical aircraft survivability efforts today, Ryan’s career has been driven by protecting the Warfighter.

At SURVICE, Ryan’s DAO group supports aircraft live fire test & evaluation, survivability analyses for threats, model-based systems engineering, and software development supporting aircraft survivability.

For Ryan, this mission is personal:

"It means everything knowing that our efforts to support aircraft survivability have the potential for someone to return home safely, especially as I used to be a beneficiary of these efforts."

Thank you, Ryan, for your service, leadership, and dedication to bringing our service members home safely!

The work is challenging. The mission is meaningful. But the people?
They’re the reason you can’t help but smile walking through the door.
At SURVICE, we’re solving real problems while supporting the Warfighter. But we’re doing it alongside people who make the hard days easier, the wins more rewarding, and the everyday moments a whole lot more fun.

Because doing great work feels even better when you genuinely enjoy the people doing it with you.

That’s the difference at SURVICE.

On September 14, 2026, SURVICE Engineering was proud to welcome U.S. Congressman Andy Harris; Commander Reid Wiseman, commander of the Artemis II moon mission; Harford County Executive Robert Cassilly; and others to its Applied Technology Sector Drone Facility at the Harford County Airport in Churchville, MD. Commander Wiseman, who grew up in Baltimore, was enthusiastic about seeing the cutting-edge drone technology at SURVICE and meeting the engineers and scientists who make the TRV-150 and other advanced technology drones. It was inspirational to all at SURVICE to welcome Congressman Harris, Commander Wiseman, and County Executive Cassilly.

SURVICE greatly appreciates Congressman Harris’s strong support to our community and to the Warfighter.
