MDL specializes in the engineering and manufacturing of metal and non-metal hardware for a variety of defense and commercial customers. Sales orders may consist of one prototype or many thousands of parts, and the Company's customer base includes direct support to all branches of the U.S. Armed Services, a number of prominent defense contractors, and medical, engineering research, and other commer
cial entities. The Company performs research and development related to prototype hardware and military components, and complete testing and inspecting of products is carried out in accordance with MIL-I-45208 and ISO 9001-2008. MDL is an established vendor for clients including the Department of Defense, and a subcontractor for local first and second tier manufacturers such as General Dynamics, BAE, Northrop Grumman, VSE Corporation, Johns Hopkins/U.S. Senate and others due to the Company's consistent quality and quick turnaround. The Company will work with aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and alloyed steels, heat treatable steels, plastics, fiberglass and phenolic materials. One of the Company's specialties is the development of processes for specialized products that have to be welded, including the welding of armor aluminum and various types of stainless steels and other specialty metals. The Company maintains a complete inventory of state-of-the-art equipment and programming software; and employs in-house certified welders for welding steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and alloy steels. The Company's welding processes include TIG, MIG, resistance spot and seam welding, and plasma arc cutting.
