Albert De Sousa is a Mechanical Engineer with nearly four decades of experience in the oil & gas industry across South and North America. He has led major efforts in maintenance, turnarounds, and reliability, with a strong specialization in Bolted Joint Integrity (BJI).
For the past 15 years, Albert has developed and implemented BJI programs in Canadian and U.S. refineries, achieving notable reductions in joint leaks. He combines deep field experience with strong engineering insight, having trained engineers, inspectors and assembly crews in best practices and standards.
Recently, he contributed to the new ASME PCC-1/API Inspector Certification Program, helping define exam content for this major industry credential.
Albert remains an active participant in ASME events and Bolting Symposiums, staying ahead of bolting technologies and standards. His expertise will strengthen our technical support and value to customers.
