We are a steel fabrication business looking for a front-desk receptionist/bookkeeper to help with our workflow.

This position requires answering phone calls, processing walk-in and phone-in steel orders, accepting payments and general bookkeeping using QuickBooks.

We’re looking for someone that can use Microsoft Office (exclusively Excel) and QuickBooks Also a self-starter that is organized and able to use good grammar.

Experience identifying steel shapes and using steel reference and weight sheets is very helpful and will reflect in starting pay.

Our company has been operating since 1947 and was revamped in 2014. We offer a relaxed working environment with no red tape. The company does not offer health coverage currently. We provide uniforms and PPE. We enjoy extended holidays, vacation time. We furnish an opportunity to grow with the company.

MANUAL MACHINIST WANTED

Applicants need 3+ years of manual machining experience in both manual milling and manual turning. Knowledge of blueprint reading, safe operations and measuring/quality control are a must.

Generally, our tolerances are relaxed, we typically machine plate and structural steel to complete weldments in-house. Drilling, tapping, slots and deburring are most common with help of DROs. Facing, heavy stock removal and heavy turning are less common. We need someone that can operate forklifts, mag drills, iron workers and general assembly when needed. Knowledge of assembly, fasteners and basic wrenching is helpful.

We are a job shop that does short production runs as well as one-offs. We machine steel, aluminum and plastics mostly. Sometimes jobs require repairs to unknown base materials.

MIG WELDERS WANTED

Applicants need 3+ years of MIG welding steel weldments to print. Experience completing blueprints, understanding welding procedures, measuring and shop math, operating overhead cranes and use of forklifts is required. Welding certifications are NOT required.

We are a job shop that does short production runs as well as one-offs. Welders will be fitting parts that are, for the most part, machined or burned out and generally ready to weld. Tacking and handling weldments safely are very important, most of our welding is done with .045” wire and 90/10 gas or smaller set ups. Weldments are generally under 4000 pounds and 10’ x 10’. Grinding, deburring and preparation for powder coat and paint are part of the job. We don’t build rocket ships here, but welders need to be able to keep structures square, minimize warpage and understand isometric views competently.

Other fabrication experience will be accepted with consideration to base pay. Skills like shearing, press brake operations, assembly and wrenching will add value to this position.

These gear boxes were a victim of a seized bearing that wiped out the journals. We used Aluminum-Bronze filler and laid up .375" of material so they can be machined down to factory spec. Not to mention the 12" thick steel burnout. These are about 12' long and together weighed around 13,000 lbs.
