Before the house is a home...

Someone showed up early.
Worked late.
And gave their all.

Today, we honor all the people whose hands helped build it, from the production line to the contractor who puts it up, and everyone between, we are thankful for the work you do.

Have a safe and Happy Labor Day.

Skip the housewrap!

Water-resistive barriers (WRBs) are designed to help protect wall assemblies from bulk water intrusion. Breathable WRBs provide that same protection while also allowing water v***r to pass through, supporting drying within the wall assembly.

Because different wall designs and performance goals call for different approaches to moisture management, Progressive Foam offers rigid insulation WRB solutions in both traditional WRB and breathable WRB options. Simply tape the seams to create a continuous water-resistive barrier, eliminating the need for housewrap.

The end result? Water management where you need it, v***r permeability where you want it, and built-in protection, so you can skip the housewrap.

Building Codes Then. Energy Efficiency Now.

Then: Insulation was treated as an afterthought. Building codes focused primarily on structural safety, and lower R-values were common. Air leakage and energy efficiency received far less attention.

Now: Modern building science recognizes insulation as a key component of an energy-efficient, durable building envelope. Today's energy codes require higher insulation performance, improved air sealing, and better overall thermal efficiency to help reduce energy costs and improve comfort.

As building codes continue to evolve, staying informed helps builders, contractors, and homeowners make smarter decisions for long-term performance.
