In 1985, Ken Ensor set out to build a truck-mounted forklift that was lighter, faster, and more capable than anything else on the market.
Last Friday, we honored that vision alongside the team carrying it forward every day.

While the future of Donkey is proudly Mississippi-made, Ken's original vision will always be part of our story. The very first Donkey, built in Denver in 1985, now has a permanent home at our Plant 1 facility, displayed alongside a dedication plaque directly in front of the historic barn door where Hol-Mac began in the 1960s.

The forklifts we build roll out to jobsites across the country, but the heartbeat of the operation is right here in Bay Springs. From welding and assembly to quality control and support and everywhere in between, each Donkey reflects the craftsmanship, dedication, and pride of the people who build it.

A special thank you to Mayor Brown, Jay Harrison from WDAM, and our community neighbors who joined us for the celebration.

Because for 40 years, “Donkey” hasn’t meant a cute farm animal
It’s meant early mornings, overloaded trailers, muddy jobsites, operators running on gas station coffee, and somehow still getting the job done before dark.

The kind of machine that gets handed the jobs nobody else wants.
And still asks for another load.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Hol-Mac Summit! This year was our biggest yet, with over 400 attendees joining us on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Our attendee map spanned the entire North American continent, including partners from across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

We kicked things off with technical dealer training and a Huber factory tour, followed by an evening honoring excellence at our Dealer Awards. Wednesday brought it all together on the Expo floor, packed with vendors and the latest innovations from all of our proprietary brands.

The Equipment Rodeo kept the energy high as operators put their skills to the test, and we closed it all out Wednesday night at the VIP party — the perfect ending to an unforgettable few days.

To every dealer, customer, and sponsor who traveled to be with us: thank you. You are the reason we continue to push the boundaries of American manufacturing. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

The Equipment Rodeo was open to anyone at the Hol-Mac Summit Expo and plenty stepped up to the challenge.

From shooting a basketball with a Donkey Forklift, to picking up puzzle pieces with a knuckle boom grapple, to guiding a rubber duck with a Huber Jetter, it was all about skill and a good time.

It wasn’t easy, but that made it even better.
