Bay Cast has Finishing Department positions: 1st and 2nd Shift Chipping/Grinding

These positions are full time with an average of 50-52 hours per week, paid weekly. The positions have Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability available as well as a 401k with a company match.

Candidates also start earning PTO right away. This position starts off at $14 per hour and a $0.20 per hour shift premium (2nd Shift Only).

The 1st shift position hours are Mon-Fri from 6:00am-3:30pm and Saturdays from 5:00am-12:00pm (varies).

The 2nd shift position hours are 3:30pm-2:00am Mon-Fri.

Candidates must be available to work these hours. At Bay Cast, our drug screen does not include Marijuana/THC

Bay Cast has a Shipping/Receiving Clerk position available.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of shipping/receiving experience, but we will train the right person. Candidates should have experience in using Microsoft Office. The shipping/receiving clerk typically prepares parcels to be shipped, schedules and solicits bids from trucking companies to arrange shipments, takes care of all receivables for our Foundry and Finishing Shop, and also maintains inventory of general supplies used in the shops.

This position averages between 40-45 hours per week, paid weekly. This is a 1st shift job, M-F (7:30am-4:30pm) The position has Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability available as well as a 401k with a company match.

Candidates also start earning PTO right away. This position has a pay range from $14-$16.00 per hour depending on experience.

Extensive programming support provided; the Operator will be expected to work off pre-established programming and set up sheets, performing setups, following and editing G-code programs, and performing offsets and in-process inspections.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Dimensionally balance castings and fabrications
Perform receiving, in process and final inspection
Assist in verification, identification, reporting of nonconforming product and product characteristics
Ability to accurately & efficiently generate CMM Inspection reports
Ability to accurately and reliably use various precision hand gauges and testing equipment
Engage closely with manufacturing engineer and quality engineer to make in-process decision

Experience/Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience working in a precision manufacturing environment operating measuring equipment, preferably working with large scale parts
Working knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret blueprint requirements
Experience with PCDIMS, Polyworks & Verisurf software is a plus
Experience with operating Portable CMM arms and Laser Trackers preferred
Understanding of inspection methodology and metrology.
Shift Hours:
1st shift hours Monday-Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm

Job Description:

This role collaborates with Sales Engineer(s) to design and manufacture bed and surface plates. Preexisting templates are utilized then customized to specific customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

CAD Specialist’s responsibilities include:

Prepare accurate and complete drawings package utilizing specification provided by Sales Team
Understand and contribute to the process of submitting shop drawings to the level of detail required for manufacturing
Prepare bill of materials as required for each assembly
Manage personal deadlines to ensure that project milestones/deliverables are on time
Communicate effectively with customer and team members
Organize files and folders to establish long term drawing storage

Experience/Qualifications:

Requires an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or 3-5 years of CAD experience.
Experience with Solidworks or other CAD software is necessary
Good understanding of GD&T
Manufacturing/ machining background preferred
Strong communication and organizational skill
Attention to detail is necessary
