Here's a look at Gulf Air Group's new aircraft hangar at Bob Sikes Airport in Crestview, Florida. Working with Corbin Construction, ACI supplied the engineered metal building system for the 70,000-square-foot complex, which includes a main hangar spanning more than 60,000 square feet. The facility features 58 feet of vertical clearance, two 160-foot-wide aircraft doors, and structural framing designed to accommodate two 5-ton bridge cranes. ACI also supplied 24-gauge StratoShield standing-seam roofing and PBR wall panels. Opened in 2025, the facility is the largest hangar ever built at Bob Sikes Airport. The Alabaster Water Board facility in Alabama is a great example of the range of work we do at ACI. We supplied the pre-engineered metal building package for the equipment shop and supporting structures, along with architectural UltraLok roofing for the main office.

The shop required large equipment openings, while the office featured intersecting gables, valleys, and varying roof slopes. It's a great example of how we can meet different building needs through one manufacturing source.
