The May Organization of the Month is the Friends of the Library.

The mission of the Friends of the Library is to promote library visibility within the local community by hosting events, funding projects and advocating for library needs and service.

Friends of the Library are involved with many events throughout the year - National Library Week, Bike Rodeo, Book Sales and Root Beer Float Sales at the Community Picnic. Volunteers are always needed to host events, serve food, lead projects, read stories, sort books, clean, plant flowers and shop for supplies!

Thank you to the Record Review for sharing information about National Library Week and our activities, including two authors who will present. Nancy Carlson will hold a story time tomorrow for young children and Terry Shoptaugh will talk about local history on April 25. Our Friends of the Library volunteers invite you to join us for these events or to become involved in our other activities, such as our book sales. Talk with Kaia at the library for more information.

The April BACF Organization of the Month is the Trojan Takedown Club!

The mission of the Trojan Takedown Club is to promote youth wrestling within the Barnesville community. The group sponsors four Bingo events throughout the year to raise monies for wrestling uniforms and equipment. Their BBQ Bingo will be held just before school is out.
