Scott Guilbault, Fraco sales representative, went to enjoy an evening at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit and had the pleasure of seeing a project he helped make happen: a Fraco ACT-8 platform hard at work on the restoration of the iconic Fisher Building! 🏗️

RAM Construction is carefully restoring the building’s original 1928 marble exterior, reusing original stone wherever possible and matching replacements to preserve this National Historic Landmark.

We’re proud to see Fraco equipment supporting the preservation of Detroit’s architectural heritage!

🏆 Fraco’s M City project is on the cover of SA Magazine!

We’re proud to see Rogers M City in Mississauga, Ontario, featured on the cover of Scaffold & Access Magazine — showcasing an award-winning Fraco access solution for one of Canada’s most distinctive high-rise developments.

The M City towers presented a unique challenge: their floor plates shift as the buildings rise, creating a constantly changing distance between the structure and the access system.

Fraco’s solution? The Common Tower System, combined with Fraco SEH construction hoists, creating a reliable vertical access route alongside the twisting towers.

🔹 Approximately 250 Common Tower floors across three towers
🔹 Common Tower systems serving the changing geometry of the buildings
🔹 Fraco SEH construction hoists for Tower 3
🔹 Special walkways and tie systems adapting to the changing slab edges
🔹 Reduced building openings, helping allow the building envelope to close earlier
🔹 Engineering designed to address the height, winter conditions, and ice loading
🔹 Ground-level preassembly and crane lifting to improve installation efficiency

The result was more than an innovative access solution — it was an award-winning project.

🏗️ Fraco USA is Hiring | Structural Engineer

Fraco USA is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Engineering team and contribute to the design, analysis, and validation of our temporary and permanent structures.

What you’ll do
- Perform structural analysis, calculations, design, and validation.
- Design and approve structural components and welded assemblies according to applicable codes and standards.
- Support project and installation teams with anchorage, ground-load, building connection, and field-related challenges.
- Contribute to new product development, structural optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support to Engineering, Production, Project Management, and field teams.

What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, with a structural focus.
- 3–5 years of relevant structural design and analysis experience.
- Strong knowledge of CSA standards and welding design.
- AutoCAD and/or Revit proficiency.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with rigor and autonomy.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to job sites.

Assets: Manufacturing experience and knowledge of ASME A17.1/B44 and B311 standards.

🚧 New Project Spotlight | Vanderbilt Residences – Condado, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
A new Fraco customer, Juliane Crane & Rigging, recently installed a brand-new SEH-6000 MS construction hoist at the new Vanderbilt Residences in Condado.
This first Fraco installation came with a few challenges — including an under-slab tie configuration, a change in hoist orientation, and approximately 230 ft of mast to install.
With close coordination between the customer, engineering team, installers, and Fraco, the installation was completed in just over one week. 💪
