EBL Engineers, LLC

EBL Engineers, LLC Est. in 1972, EBL is a professional engineering firm specializing in mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineering as well as code consulting.

EBL Engineers, LLC is a company, founded in 1972 by Benjamin Egerton, Moritz Bukowitz and George Lengyel, and has been continuously engaged in the private practice of professional engineering since its inception. EBL began with a total staff of seven located in approximately 1,000 square feet of basement area in an office building on Chesapeake Avenue in Towson. As time went on and our list of act

ive clients grew, our work became more varied and our staff and office space increased. By 1983, with a staff of seventeen, we had outgrown our original location in Towson and moved to the Gleneagles Court offices. Growth continued and in 1988 our staff numbered twenty-eight. With working conditions already cramped, EBL Engineers acquired the fire protection engineering firm of Hanna Fire Engineering. To relieve cramped conditions, provide room for expansion and house our computer assisted design/drafting systems we moved to offices on York Road in Timonium. In 1997, a unique opportunity presented itself to EBL which brought us to our current office on Harford Road in Parkville. Then an abandoned and boarded up building we were able to design a ground up renovation into the facility you see today. This facility can accommodate more than eighty professional engineers, designers, draftspersons and support staff. The late 1990s and early 2000’s marked the transition of the firms ownership to the next generation as Ben, Bucky and George retired and Bob Stratemeyer, Ed Fraczkowski, Ed Hubner and Jeff McBride assumed control. The firm continued to expand its services with the establishing of a Code Consulting division and a Facility Management division in 2010. We have an outstanding record of continuing growth, expanding specialization and providing excellent service to our clients. The growth and reputation of the Company are a direct result of individual efforts and close cooperation of our staff members. Our future success depends upon continuation of these efforts and adherence to the highest professional standards and ideals. Our goals will always be quality of product, service to our client and innovation in design.
