Clark Machine recently helped a customer get their excavator boom back up and running when the piece of equipment failed and time was of the essence.
We started with a full inspection of the failed component, followed by high-resolution 3D scanning using our Artec 3D Leo scanner. We then processed the scan data and used it to replicate the damaged section in Autodesk.
Once the design was complete, we moved into production:
• Processed the part in ProNest for efficient material utilization
• Precision cut the component on our Hypertherm Ventures XPR 300 plasma system
• Machined critical features on our horizontal mill
• Formed the part on our 1,000-ton Cincinnati Incorporated CNC press brake
After final inspection, the part was shipped back to the customer, ready to be welded into place and put back into service.
At Clark Machine, we pride ourselves in the ability to get your equipment back up and running quickly and correctly!
