I'm not opposed to using more modern techniques when they benefit the product, or allow me to reduce the cost for my customers. I created Crimson Scale Forge, LLC as a means to express my desire to work with my hands since my primary income comes from sitting at a computer. As a side business, I didn't have to focus on making a vast income. This was great as I have taken my time to learn and devel
op my skills as a Knifemaker and learning blacksmithing, a natural progression in my metal working career. I started with knives as I figured they were small and assumed the tools and space requirements would be small as well, given I had a small space to work with. I have since learned that I was naive, though one can make knives with a minimum set-up, it is not efficient at all. Through funding from my primary income and spending every dime I've earned through my business, I now have a dedicated shop space to make knives and forge misc. crafts by hand. Which I spend my time in as much as possible in the evenings and weekends. My goal for my business is to take it from a hobby, to a self-sufficient shop that steadily grows until the time comes it can support my family. I wish to build a brand that is recognized as quality products, and superior designs. I will continue to learn and practice new methods of creating useful items with my hands. My desire being to create products that my customers enjoy using and are proud to own. You can help us grow by following on Instagram and sharing us with your friends.
