We are seeking a MIG welder to become an integral part of our team! The Welder will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble both new and refurbished pallet rack components such as uprights, beams, cantilever arms etc.
Responsibilities:
Manufacture and fabricate New Teardrop frames from 14Ga roll formed column and strut material using .035 MIG wire.
Install and repair various pallet rack systems such as drive-in, push-back, selective, structural, and some mezzanines. (Sometimes our customers like us to install their racks for them).
Follow blueprints and shop drawings to meet product specifications. (This is different from job to job. On a new order all like parts should match, on used jobs, there is some wiggle room.)
Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
MUST HAVE STEEL TOED BOOTS!
MUST BE AWS D1.1 CERTIFIED!
3 years of welding experience is REQUIRED.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields.
Familiarity with Miller welding tools and procedures using the .035 MIG process.
Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics (sometimes it'll be a shop drawing).
Ability to handle physical workload and lift 25-75lbs regularly.
PAY FREQUENCY:
Bi-Weekly on Friday's.
HOURS - FULL-TIME:
The usual hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm in the winter and 6:00am - 3:00pm in the summer. These hours are based on weather and workload and subject to change at any time, with or without advanced notice from Space Maker Designs.
ABILITY TO COMMUTE:
Must have reliable transportation to commute to Balch Springs, Texas for work.
